Second Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

3:00PM-6:00PM

At Soaring Wings Vineyard in Springfield, NE!

Last year we held a wine tasting fundraiser at Soaring Wings Vineyard and it was such a success (not to mention fun!) that we decided to do it again! Tickets are the same price as last year, $30 per person or $50 per twosome. (Bring a friend, get a discount!) Your ticket includes five tastings and souvenir wine glass. Lutheran Service Corps also receives 10% of sales that day.

We'll have light snacks and live music. Kids are ...welcome to attend with their parents as we will also have nonalcoholic beverages available. Stop by any time between 3:00 and 6:00 PM!

If you want to purchase advance tickets, contact Janelle at LSC

LSC is now part of LVC!

Lutheran Service Corps (LSC) is now part of Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC)!

As of December 1st, 2008, LSC became a subsidiary of LVC.  We remain our own nonprofit 501(c)(3) and will continue to fundraise and support our volunteers.  Starting August 2009, LVC volunteers will be living in Hillstrom House and working with our partner agencies in Omaha.  For those interested in a volunteer opportunity, please see LVC's website for more information and download their application.

Welcome to Lutheran Service Corps
girlIf you would like to spend a year making a difference by actively participating in the lives of the poor, we'd like you to consider Lutheran Service Corps (LSC). At Lutheran Service Corps, we invite people to join with us in our mission and ministry to work toward justice for all.

Together, we respond to the needs of our sisters and brothers, especially those who are poor and marginalized. Each volunteer lives in an intentional faith community and volunteers full time at one of several human service agencies in Omaha, Nebraska.

Allow this to be the best year of your life, and an experience you will be forever grateful for.

Please look around and see what we have to offer.  People of all faith backgrounds are encouraged to apply!

Thoughts

Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
